Torie Borrelli is an Integrative holistic nutritionist, published author, chef consultant, recipe creator, and a wellness expert based in sunny San Diego. Torie is the author of The Mexican Keto Cookbook, the first cookbook to feature ketogenic recipes with traditional Mexican flavors and ingredients. The cookbook serves as a resource for anti-inflammatory living with delicious recipes and is now available on Amazon and in retail stores such as Target, Barnes & Nobles and more. In 2015, she founded The Vida Well, a wellness and education brand rooted in preventive living and has worked alongside leading and progressive naturopaths, chiropractors, acupuncturists, and local San Diego doctors for the last decade.
Torie used her personal struggles with food to inform her mission and shape how she works with clients. Her battle with health issues at a young age, heightened her awareness of the effects food and nutrition can have on the body. The concept of “you are what you eat” became her lifelong journey. Approaching wellness from a preventative standpoint fuels her passion to help others to not fear food. She loves teaching people how to live a healthier life -- be it as simple as adding adaptogens to their daily routine or educating them that “fat” does not make you fat.
Torie is a regular contributor to food and health brands and is a wellness/recipe consultant for a number of major companies, such as LYFT headquarters, The Butcher's Daughter Group, Siete Foods, Chosen Foods, Rancho La Puerta, Thrive Market, Butcher Box, Kite Hill and many others. Torie has recently been featured in The Wall Street Journal, MindBodyGreen, Dr. Mark Hyman, CBS Morning Show, Bulletproof, Thrive Market, Tastemade, and on leading blogs, such as The Skinny Confidential.
