MANUFACTURER AWARDED INDUSTRY CERTIFICATION
Ogden,
Utah—The
National Nutritional Foods Association (NNFA) just awarded
Trace Minerals Research of Ogden, Utah with the Good Manufacturing
Practices (GMP) certification for its compliance with manufacturing
standards in the dietary supplements industry. Such a certification
helps Trace Minerals Research maintain a strong and competitive
business.
“This certification
says to consumers, retailers and international buyers of our
products that we are committed to producing safe and quality
products,” said Matt Kilts, Managing Partner of Trace Minerals
Research. “This helps us to stay competitive in a very competitive
market.”
Of the 621 supply
and manufacturer members of the NNFA, Trace Minerals Research
is in the top 50 of those who have been GMP certified.
The NNFA's GMP
Program is performed by third-party auditors that follow a
set of standards that have been determined based upon dialogs
with suppliers and manufacturers, other trade organizations,
and the Food and Drug Administration.
Auditors conduct
inspections of suppliers in areas that include personnel,
sanitation, equipment, quality operations, production and
distribution. These inspections bring a means of self-assessment
to the dietary supplement industry.
Trace Minerals
Research has been in the natural products industry for the
past 35 years, founded in 1969. It supplies raw ingredients
to manufacturers in addition to manufacturing and marketing
its own full line of complete vitamin and mineral supplements.
